The Advantage Report Global Travel Retail – an annual study based on qualitative and quantitative research – this year saw more than 385 key stakeholders from 87 retailers evaluate the performance of their suppliers.

Advantage believes that improving business relationships between manufacturers and retailers will help create outstanding business results.

Lindt achieved top-tier ratings across all seven performance areas: Overall, Strategic Alignment, People, Category Development, Trade & Shopper Marketing and Customer Service. Within the regions, Lindt ranked first in the Americas and the Middle East, second in Europe and third in Asia Pacific.

Lindt & Sprüngli targets millennials in new Travel the World campaign

Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail is continuing its mission to "make passenger journeys more magical" through a new Travel the World campaign.

Promotions in selected airports in Europe, the Middle East and South America are targeting millennial shoppers as Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail seeks to embrace research that reveals growing passenger interest in tailored and souvenir products.

Lindt launched the first stage of the Travel the World campaign in June at Zurich Airport. There the campaign included large ZRH letters to represent the airport and presented travelers with social media photo and sharing opportunities.

Travel Retail Awards 2019: Winners announced

On an evening that attracted record numbers, the 2019 iteration of the awards held once again at the Singapore Conrad Centennial Hotel (Monday 13th May) delivered priceless insight backed by critical research and market opinion to honor the products and airports that stood the ultimate test – consumer feedback.

One year on from its inaugural launch, the Travel Retail Awards continues to deliver real return on investment for suppliers, airports and retailers alike, with a total (18) awards (five airport; 13 product) handed out on the evening.

The Winner in Category Best Confectionery Product is Lindt & Sprüngli (Schweiz) AG with Lindt Fruit Sensation.
